Scope of the Studies

In line with the decisions of the P&I Club and the committee, studies have been started and the following actions have been carried out under their supervision:

- Underwater survey was carried out to assess the situation.

- The area where the ship is located has been surrounded with oil barriers to prevent the spread of pollutants before the works.

- The fuel oil and lubricating oil on board, which pose a great risk in terms of environmental pollution, have been discharged.

- Approximately 18,700 kg of undamaged fuel oil and approximately 4300 kg of water-mixed fuel oil were removed from the ship and delivered to Izayda for disposal.

- After our action plan related to pollution control and debris removal was approved by the P&I Club and the committee, rescue operations were started.

- The scrap iron and steel cargo was removed from the warehouses and delivered to Diler Iron and Steel Industry.

- The damaged sections of the ship under the sea were identified by our divers, the detected sections were repaired and the waters in these sections were drained and the ship was refloated.

- Within the framework of the contract, after the necessary security measures were taken, the ship was towed to the Midia Shipyard located within the borders of Constanta/ROMANIA.

- Our Pehlivan II tug, Hercules floating crane, Majestic cargo pontoon, Göksu 1 landing ship with mobile crane and Simbad service engine were used in the studies.
