The Event That Took Place
The Panama-flagged, 65.4 m long, 8.60 m wide, 4.73 m deep, 764 GRT and 1246 DWT cargo ship Dimitrios P sank while loading steel profiles and rebar in bales at the Port of Derince.

Scope of the Studies
On October 9, a debris removal agreement was signed with Tudi ShippingCo SA (Donatan) and operations began.
The following operations are carried out under the supervision of the surveyor appointed by the P&I Club:
- 50 steel profiles and 277 bales of rebar loaded on the ship (in total, approximately 1000 tons) were removed from the sunken ship.
- The sunken ship was divided into three parts underwater and these parts were removed from underwater with our floating crane Barbaros-III.
- The cutting process of the ship was continued at the dock and the scrap was delivered to Diler Iron and Steel Enterprises.
