Scope of the Studies
 
An underwater survey was conducted for due diligence on November 27-29 for the pontoon located at the Kartal Anchorage. With the contract signed on December 16, the work of turning and floating the pontoon, which has also been turned upside down, has been given to our company. Within this framework, the following operations were carried out after the necessary permits were obtained:
 
- The pontoon was towed by the Pehlivan-2 tug to the 1200 m off the DSI Facilities in Bayramoglu -Tuzla at a depth suitable for rotation, a bathymetric map of which had been prepared previously.
- The necessary repairs have been made by the divers and the air tightness of all the tanks of the pontoon has been ensured.
- 480 air inlet and water outlet valves are installed separately in all tanks.
- Two rows of the tanks located on the starboard side of the pontoon were filled with water from length to length, and the water in all the remaining tanks was drained by pressing air. Thus, it was ensured that the pontoon was lying on its side towards the starboard side.
- A windlass system has been built on the beach to be used for turning the pontoon.
- In order to connect the ropes of the windlass placed on the beach, 8 strong maps were mounted at December intervals in the middle section of the pier side of the pontoon, which was upside down.
